Arran House ist eines von drei Wohnheimen, die wir in Edinburgh haben.
Arran House ist eines der drei Wohnheime der GSA in Edinburgh.
Es verfügt über insgesamt 302 Studentenbetten, die sowohl Studios als auch Zimmer mit eigenem Bad umfassen.
In diesem Studentenwohnheim kannst du dein Studentenleben in vollen Zügen genießen, denn im Stadtzentrum von Edinburgh findest du aufregende Treffpunkte. An den Wochenenden, wenn du von der Uni-Woche müde bist, kannst du das aufregende Nachtleben und die kulturellen Hotspots in der Umgebung erkunden.
Sozial und spaßig
Wenn du keine Lust auf Party hast, gibt es mehrere Restaurants, und auf dem Stockbridge Market gibt es auch eine große Auswahl an Street Food. Wenn du also auf der Suche nach gutem Essen bist, das deinen Geldbeutel nicht belastet, dann bist du hier genau richtig.
Bei den Unterkünften in Edinburgh hast du die Wahl zwischen Wohngemeinschaften für diejenigen, die ihr soziales Netzwerk ausbauen wollen, oder einem eher privaten Studio für diejenigen, die sich lieber in ihre eigene Wohnung zurückziehen.

Unless the context otherwise requires, words and expressions defined in your Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement shall have the same meanings in this Cancellation Policy. Bookings made prior to 1 June 2021 If you sign your Tenancy Agreement prior to 1 June 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 1 June 2021. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Tenancy and will refund your Advance Rent Payment of £250.00, together with any other payments of Rent you may have made.
Bookings made on or after 1 June 2021 If you sign your Tenancy Agreement on or after 1 June 2021 and you have not collected the keys to your Room, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Tenancy Agreement (the “Cooling-Off Period”). Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Tenancy and will refund your Advance Rent Payment of £250.00, together with any other payments of Rent you may have made.
Bookings made for Semester 2 or 3 starting after the 1st January 2022 If you sign a Tenancy Agreement for a semester 2 or 3 beginning after the 1st January 2022, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, with no penalty up until 15 November 2021 or 8 weeks before the start of your agreement whichever is the shortest. Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Tenancy and will refund your Advance Rent Payment of £250.00, together with any other payments of Rent you may have made.
If you have not collected your key you may also cancel at any time within the period of fourteen (14) days of the date on which you sign your Tenancy Agreement (the “Cooling-Off Period”). During the cancellation period, you may cancel your Tenancy, by giving notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, Once we receive such a notice, we will confirm receipt, cancel your Tenancy and will refund your Advance Rent Payment of £250.00, together with any other payments of Rent you may have made. Cancelling outside the Cooling-Off Period Outside the Cooling-Off Period, you may request to cancel your Tenancy, by notice in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property. Cancelling as you do not receive your visa If you are not successful in being awarded a visa to travel and study, then we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences around the globe if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Tenancy Agreement provided the following criteria are met: You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, within 3 days of your visa rejection letter; and
You provide the Residence Manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the embassy or visa office. One less worry if you don’t receive your grades This is applicable to prospective first-year undergraduate students only If you are not successful in obtaining your place at your chosen University, then don’t worry, we can help. Firstly, we may be able to transfer you to another one of our residences if you are going to study elsewhere. If you are not going to study elsewhere or we do not have accommodation available in your new city/town of study, we will release you from your Tenancy Agreement provided the following criteria are met:
You submit your request to cancel, in writing or by e-mail to the Residence Manager at the Property, before 25 August 2021; and You provide the Residence Manager with a copy of your rejection letter from the University or UCAS. Once we have your request, we will confirm receipt and refund your Advance Rent Payment of £250.00, together with any other rent payments you may have made.
Umgebung
Die Unterkunft ist nur 20 Minuten zu Fuß von der University of Edinburgh und der Napier University entfernt und eine 25-minütige Busfahrt von der Heriot-Watt University.
Die Royal Mile, das Edinburgh Castle, die Princes Street (die Haupteinkaufsstraße), der Bahnhof Edinburgh Waverley und unzählige andere Sehenswürdigkeiten befinden sich alle in der Nähe.
Wo auch immer du studieren wirst, die Anreise wird ein Kinderspiel sein.
Der Bahnhof von Edinburgh (5 Minuten zu Fuß) und der internationale Flughafen von Edinburgh (40 Minuten Fahrtzeit) sind von der Schule aus leicht zu erreichen.
Das Stadtzentrum ist nur einen 20-minütigen Spaziergang entfernt, so dass die Royal Mile, das Edinburgh Castle, die Princes Street (das Haupteinkaufsviertel) und der Bahnhof Edinburgh Waverley praktisch vor deiner Haustür liegen.

Wir nehmen keine Kaution für unsere Studentenwohnungen. Stattdessen musst du eine Mietvorauszahlung leisten, die mit deiner zweiten Mietzahlung verrechnet wird.
Wenn du außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten anreisen musst, informiere bitte dein Wohnheimteam so früh wie möglich, damit wir dir helfen können.

Wenn du einen Mietvertrag für ein 2. oder 3. Semester unterschreibst, das nach dem 1. Januar 2022 beginnt, kannst du deinen Mietvertrag bis zum 15. November 2021 oder 8 Wochen vor Vertragsbeginn, je nachdem, welcher Zeitraum kürzer ist, schriftlich oder per E-Mail an den Wohnheimleiter kündigen, ohne dass eine Vertragsstrafe anfällt. Sobald wir eine solche Kündigung erhalten haben, bestätigen wir den Eingang, kündigen dein Mietverhältnis und erstatten dir die Mietvorauszahlung von £250,00 sowie alle anderen von dir geleisteten Mietzahlungen.
Wir können nur Vollzeitstudenten aufnehmen.
Um bei uns zu wohnen, während du an der Universität studierst, musst du mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein.
In deinem Wohnheim ist das Rauchen nicht erlaubt, aber du darfst draußen rauchen.
